Abstract
Aspects of the organization of knowledge bases for educational systems utilizing multimedia and hypertext tools are discussed. The requirements for computer systems with artificial intelligence elements are formulated, along with problems encountered in the various stages of development of electronic textbooks and encyclopedias: the development of multiple representation scenarios, the dynamic generation of a frame network, and the creation of a student knowledge base.
