Abstract
If you are an editor, or, like me, you manage editors, you went into publishing because you love books. You will be glad to hear that I am not predicting their demise. I am not even predicting the demise of the multi-volume reference book, at least not any time soon. But I am enthusiastic about the choices that go far beyond books available today to reference publishers, libraries, and students.
