Abstract
IBM, Microsoft, and Britannica offer World Book, Encarta, and Encyclopaedia Britannica, respectively, exclusively through their own Web sites. This gives them much more flexibility in making changes. World Book's online presence is quite primitive. The other two producer-published encyclopedia sites are remarkable.
