"Geography, the academic discipline, is in a continual state of change. The major paradigm shifts within the subject are well documented as are calls for unity at times of perceived fragmentation. Changes within the school subject of geography have received less coverage but are equally significant in terms of the future position of the subject within the curriculum. This paper intends to discuss the connections (or lack of them) between the two areas of geography within the context of the English school curriculum."
