Abstract |
This monograph is part of the 'Research in Practice' series of Early Childhood Australia, Australia's peak national professional association for early childhood educators. It makes the case for environmental education/education for sustainability to be an integral part of early childhood education and explores how to implement this in holistic, empowering and integrated ways into early childhood settings and services. The book includes case studies that affirm the role of young children as 'agents of change' in collaboration with their teachers. There is also a wide range of ideas and resources included here to support early childhood teachers prepared to 'make a difference'.
