Abstract     
Parents’ relationships with schools are changing. No longer passive recipients of a bureaucratic allocation system they are increasingly making choices, negotiating and challenging authority – all with a wealth of information that would have been unthinkable in the recent past. This book explores the changing roles and relationships of parents, teachers and administrators and the consequences for children’s education.
